Politics is one of few well paying jobs that you don’t need any experience or qualifications.Thing is, Joe isand Michelle would be seen as unqualified (since she hasn't held office) if something happened and she ended up President.
Considering Joe's age and the fact that he would be a one-term president at most, you really have to think about who would be able to assume command.
