Patriots had feasted on previous versions of our defense because we played zone or had slow linebackers. That is no longer the case. I think the game will be close but I don't think past history has much bearing on this match up.

I think our defense is better equipped to go against the Pats than previous years HOWEVER what we can't afford to have is communication breakdowns in the secondary. Can't give them free points. Even in the W last year we gave up an absurd td to I think Hogan because of miscommunication. I'd expect Beli/Brady to try to test out our backup safety Kam Kelly who should be playing in place of an injured Sean Davis. Kelly and Mike Hilton were splitting reps at S in practice this week
