In addition to the athletes/rappers, R&B, Gospel artists/celebs cameos, I also was a fan of how our sitcoms paid homage by referencing our older sitcoms or recreating scenes from the older sitcoms (usually a standard trope with sitcoms in many cases, but ‘The Jeffersons’, ‘Sanford and Son’, ‘Good Times’, and ‘What’s Happening’ got plenty of love.
Also supported the 90’s sitcoms by providing work for the actors/actresses in the aforementioned sitcoms and other sitcoms.
Martin had connections with ‘What’s Happening’, well he was in ‘What’s Happening Now’ and provided looks for his former cast members. Martin had cast members from ‘Good Times’ Sanford and Son’ and ‘The Jefferson’s’ on his show. Too many special guest appearances to name in general.
‘Living Single’ had that connection with ‘A Different World’/‘The Cosby Show’ by having main actors from that show on (Dwayne, Whitley, Ron, Kim, Freddie, Mr. Gaines, Dorian/Bumper Johnson, Charmaine/Karen White, and etc.)
The Fresh Prince had tons of Cameos
