Been rewatching again recently, it's kinda how consistently quality the show was. The last season or whenever the Marlon being an actual actor thing is where the quality noticably starts dropping.

But season 1-3 are damn near impeccable.

Of season 4-5 being better? S5 was with the whole dumb ass weed angel for 2 episodes and had Marlon tripping on the floor.

I'm rewatching again and I'm halfway through 3 so we'll see. Removing most of the side characters was smart but enjoyed Angelique.

Wasn't just the slapstick though that helped. Wouldn't get the shank or temptones episodes in the later seasons.

1 was probably the weakest overall with it barely having a plot.

Dee, TC, & Dupre dont even come on until S3 I think

I liked monique cause she got that crazy sexy ish going on but when dee joined is when shyt hit next level

Yeah I can't lie, I can't remember shyt from the first two seasons and I don't even go back to those early seasons. They hit their stride once Dee came in and they changed the diner set. Season 3 on I felt that they were rolling so much so that they could've and should've gotten another season. You can tell because as the show went on they got more comfortable and would ad lib shyt. Matter of fact, I think they said the first couple seasons the network tried to strong arm shyt and they didn't even like those early seasons as much.

I love Lela Rochon but I’m glad they eventually got rid of her. She was fine af on the show but they had Shawn acting like they were married and shyt lol. It kinda got annoying. When they switched up the cast shyt got better. I still tolerate season one tho
