Thing is Marlon is very talented. People joke but he could pull off Smoke/Stack if he wanted. His problem is he tries TOO HARD when it comes to comedy.
That's probably little brother syndrome of always trying to live up or surpass an incredibly talented family.

Shawn's humor looks like its going to work in this movie. However, Marlon's forced comedy in his 50s is going to go one of two ways.Hoping for the best.

Fact of the matter is that Marlon as a comic actor just works better paired with Shawn to balance him out.

As a dramatic actor he’s great solo.

True, but I also like when Keenan is directing him cause he knows how to channel that energy. Marlon has overrun this current director in other films.

Having Shawn there helps though.

Don't Be a Menace perfectly fit his energy so he didn't need to be controlled as much. We'll see how it goes here.

There’s funny quips
People are tired of pronouns + being politically correct

The real key, and the biggest question is, will the writing actually be good. Scary Movie 1 is still the best in the series because it actually tried to be a film.

It’ll be a missed opportunity not casting ol girl. Who got fired from Scream 6 as the killer. Her getting fired would be a great motive. Like how Ray’s motive in the 1st movie was The Wayans Bros getting canceled.
