And people who don't have any trace of CTE are also killing themselves and their families every day. Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade, Robin Williams, Chester Bennington, etc. nikkas that never picked up a football in their lives are out here hanging themselves from bathrobes.

That's the problem with the way the media has framed this shyt.. you hear "CTE" and it sounds like an automatic death sentence but we still need more science on the exact link of what CTE does to your brain and how you act. How many football players have CTE and are living normal lives? I bet its a fukking lot.

Whether you working at Walmart or throw footballs for a living, there’s a certain percentage that will become suicidal, regardless if they have CTE or not. Seems to me the percentage of football players who commit suicide is actually lower than the rest of the population. Some dudes just want to check out of life. Playing football doesn’t automatically lead you down that path. Straight up irresponsible to label an athletes suicide as a repercussions of cte. How many college football players are committing suicide? It’s so rare it’s a big story when backup QBs do it. College kids are taking their lives all the time. What’s cte have to do with it?

No question. He ain’t even getting hit much. But the instant tying of a suicide to cte is a reach. Healthy? Absolutely not. Doesn’t mean you’re heading down a path to probable violence though. But the country loves to avoid talking about mental health so it’s easier to blanket any high profile athlete suicide as cte and keep it movin. I don’t think Anthony boirdain was laying hats on football fields. That fashion woman wasn’t flying around the lingerie football turf. Chris Cornell didn’t have a decade long football career. The hundreds of thousands of other folks who commit suicide every year didn’t bank years of football hits. It’s just easier to look the other way and blame stuff like drugs or football

You can't test for CTE while someone is alive, their brain has to be examined postmortem...so they examined a brain with extensive tissue damage from a GUNSHOT WOUND and determined there was evidence of CTE... yeah, ok that makes sense
