I think the last episode took place in Panama City. My great aunt and cousin were there to witness it.
I remember being when I found out they'd really shut down.
It would have been next to impossible for me to do commentary if I knew my income was gone in two hours.
Would have dropped the headset and left Tony & Tenay in the booth like Red.

This is the dikkhead who ruined pro wrestling.
Even in it's sorriest state, WCW still delivered higher ratings for TNT and TBS than anything else they aired at the time and if they were still going to be guaranteed a time slot on at least one of those two channels then the sale to Bischoff and his partners could have gone through. But Kellner didn't want the pro wrestling viewer demographic when he took over Turner's TV side and just outright cancelled it.
Dude also was the genius who cancelled the Superman and Batman animated series, Pinky & The Brain, Freakazoid and a bunch of other cool cartoons.

Worse than that, he left Turner/Time Warner 2 years later. In retrospect, WCW dying was really bad for the industry, now WWE has a monopoly over the business and doesn't have the incentive to always put the best product around
