I put this shyt off until my VP is like will you just take the damn training. And then I don't pay attention to shyt and hope to pass the quiz at the end on the first try.

And then I go back to telling my staff to act right and there won't be no problems.

Man the world is changing
I had to complete this training that we all gotta do.

It was sooo longgggggggg
Some of the things were like:

If someone confides to you like a woman that tells you that a man at the office keeps making advances at her, but she asks you to keep it confidential, she just needed someone to talk to. If you don't report it to HR you can receive disciplinary action as well.

Also there was another scenario, where a girl was talking to another girl and she had suspicions of domestic abuse. Like whenever her husband calls she looks like she has to answer the phone at the first ring, also one day she saw a bruise on her arm, and when they have after hour drinks she never comes and it might be because her husband won't let her do outings.
So it's her job to speak to HR.

Then there was another scenario where a co-worker(female) gets picked up by her husband. Sometimes it sounds like he is yelling at her in the car. Apparently if you hear this you MUST report it to HR immediately.

Another thing is a trans girl posted trans jokes on her social media account on a sunday, outside of working hours and outside of working grounds. If co-workers found it discriminatory they should report it to HR.

And so many more examples of things happening OUTSIDE of the workplace but HR needs to be constantly advised.

It was never like this before!
Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
It's HR trying to justify itself. They exist to protect the image of the company and want you to be scared of losing your job too so that you're hyper aware of anything that could cause harm to the company. They're not thinking
"A person who abuses his spouse is bad and staff should encourage their coworker to speak to law enforcement if they suspect that coworker is being abused"

Their mind is
"We don't want to be seen as a company that hires people who tolerate spousal abuse"

They dont actually care about people, they care about the company's image and their own jobs. This is part of the reason mfs don't vote. They don't have a say in other aspects of their life so why would they care who is running the country when they'll likely go back on their promises and won't care what the base that put them in office says?

If the workplace is democratic, adults will value democracy. If instead of forcing you to sit through a training and try to scare you, they should have internal polls they conduct with suggestions for how these issues should be handled. Let the staff vote on policy and then put that policy out there with the confidence that the staff had a role in crafting it. But these guys know that bosses can then say "well maybe we don't need to pay HR that much or have that many people working in the HR department if staff feedback is just as effective if not more and costs us a whole lot less".
