Wish I had went to school for this. Y'all bout to make big money till they replace you coders with machines who code better than you.

Lol yeah this is a buffer to bring jobs back to america until then they lower salaries due to the oversaturated markets and then eventually automation gets these cats out the paint.

yeah. why would a company hire someone who only did a boot camp for say 100k, when they can hire 5 Indians via outsourcing who have 4+ years experience lol.
Idk but my hypothesis is that a lot of these coding bootcamps are well connected to people in the tech industry.

If that's the case then everybody's gonna be looking for jobs. We can barely get a computer to learn anything. How long it would take to build a computer can that can reliably complete an engineering level task? Right after they replace construction, customer service, teaching, law, science and everything else.

Indeed, which is why innovation trumps all cause that will happen soon enough. Give it at least 10 years..

They gonna replace the cashiers with self service machines and only one cashier maybe. A McDonalds I go to in Brooklyn is already testing it out where they have a self service touch display where you can order you food on that instead of the cashier. As far as customer service goes, they may not get rid of it completely but when you call certain customer service lines they make it damn near impossible to speak to a representative and they have these vast automated systems where you are talking to a machine lol. I don't know about Law but that is a possibility and science I doubt it but everything else they will try it. I mean we even got 3d printers these days.

With that said I'm trying to get on with this tech stuff, do I have to go to school and learn computer science? Is there a lot of math involved or memorization. I was leanring HTML in this one basic course I took in college but even that was killing me with all the memorization.

Are you doing BSN or ADN? Accelerated program? I'll be applying for the spring semester. It's a 15 month program I'm going to do. Hopefully I get in. Do you want to specialize eventually?

What do you do right now?
Well recently I was working a temporary job as a contract manager. That job came to an end last week. Now I'm looking for something more long term since I decided not to apply to law school for Fall 2017.

Good number of friends who are in the medical field, depends, BSN(bs in nursing), NP (Nurse Practitioner), and MDs. Pay is good, but quality of life is horrendous with on-call, night shift, crazy patients, hospital politics, divorces, child support, etc.

As for the curriculum, if you get a C or less on two courses, they dismiss you from the program in most cases.

I helped one of my ex-girlfriends study for her nursing board exams...
:merchant:

You have to be pretty proficient in the hard sciences, bio, anatomy, chemistry, physiology, calc ii at least....
Which is why trying to become a nurse will not work in my favor :sadcam:

why dont you want to go to law school?
Because I don't want to be close to 100K in debt for a job that has a big chance of not being profitable since the job market for lawyers is oversaturated. And I know there are other things I can do with a JD besides becoming a lawyer, but I did bad on the LSAT this past December. I plan on retaking it.
