Apparently there is big recruit coming in within the next few weeks. Very tight lipped, and I have no idea who it could be. No one I can think of really makes sense.

Was watching a bunch of 2013 Big 12 highlights on YouTube....
GODDAMN Mack Brown looks 
AF on the sidelines especially when I'm comparing him to other Big 12 coaches!!! The Mack defenders who wanted him to return look stupid AF now looking back on those highlights. Mack never should've made it past the 2012 season.

I haven't decided who I'm rooting for to win the QB1 job. It's good too see we got multiple QBs working their butt off this offseason.
Heard(preferably due to experience) or Locksley is who I am rooting for. We can't keep starting over at QB.
at least there are two things my stronghorns are staying consistent at.........................................losing and qb musical chairs.
I know some of the questions in the Humidor Q&A involved position coaching changes so luckily I was able to circle back with the Big Cigar this morning and get some news on that. It may not be what most want to hear but I think it further illustrates the dysfunction with this program and the direction it wants to go.
Ideally, the new offensive regime would like to bring in a new wide receiver coach and a new running backs coach who can hit the ground running with the new offense. As we've alluded to in other Humidors and on this site in general, Gilbert is being asked to microwave a brisket and get this offense going in basically 9 months or face losing his job at the end of 2016. Everyone knows this. In order to do that he needs guys that can relay information to their position groups efficiently, and quite frankly the current wide receiver coach and running back coach aren't up to speed with the new offense including but not limited to important things like scheme and terminology. If your school is going to include French classes, you probably need some French teachers.
But here's the kicker...
There is no authority to fire these position coaches and bring in new people. In other words, these coaches have to leave on their own before new coaches (preferably coaches from the Briles/Baylor coaching tree) can be procured. As a stop gap, we're told Quality Assistant coaches are now being courted just in case the position jobs can't be filled with "Baylor tree" guys or guys handpicked by Gilbert. These Quality Assistants would most likely be at the running back and wide receiver level to help get those position groups up to speed with the new offense more quickly. The problem here is that these QA's are only being offered a paltry $36,000 a year when schools like Baylor pay upwards of $80,000 per. So the stop gap isn't even ideal at this point and interest is lukewarm at best. Sigh.
Again, we're not assigning blame to Coach Strong, Mike Perrin, or anyone in between, it's just currently the way of things at the University of Texas. If you're Sterlin Gilbert, you have to be wondering if there's a spare set of keys to these handcuffs.

When asked if Strong can fire them:
My assumption is yes. Most head coaches can. Now if there's a buyout that exceeds a million you'd need to get BOR approval. I don't believe that's the case. Remember, they got rid of Chambers and Koening after a season.
But before everyone jumps on Charlie maybe he's getting direction at the AD level. I just know that these offensive coaches feel like their hands are tied. We will definitely try to figure out who's at fault here.

The hold-up to hiring new WR & RB coaches or/and Quality Control Assistant coaches BETTER BE their waiting till after NSD.
I find it hard to believe much of that. Unless I am mistaken Tommy Robinson isn't even currently under contract. Even if he was you are telling me these coaches that have years of experience can't adapt to this new system? If they are leaving we are likely just waiting until after NSD
