what's the big deal w/ Applewhite as OC? seems like it'd be a no-brainer but there's some behind the scenes stuff blocking it?

Applewhite had sex with a student trainer while he was coach and received a light punishment like 1 game. Former track and field coach Bev Kearney had a relationship with a student athlete while she was coaching and was fired. She sued the school(and won) and Applewhite's case was mentioned as part of the reasoning for her winning her lawsuit.
