Not surprised this happened. So what’s the reason it’s going on?
The same reason as always: greedy, talentless billionaires want more money and control despite the fact that the players are literally what makes the sport popular in the first place.

If any of the owners were really hurting for money then they could just… sell their team and stop being owners.

Edit: and I don’t even watch baseball like that but I’ll always side with the players/workers in any labor dispute just off principle.

What's most hilarious is Manfred's bullshyt answer comes on the heels of Corey Seager getting 10/$325 million and almost $2 billion overall to free agents thus far.

Sports journalism is at an all time low these days and will probably go even lower soon. Nobody wants to go and dig deep on these leagues anymore or even say anything unflattering. :scust:

Doesn't help that leagues have their own tv networks, aka 24 hour PR machines, to feed us unbalanced reports in moments like these.
