I’d be cool with either but I think the current format straight.3 division winners 2 wc’s just expand the wc they play 162 games for a one game playoff. Any team can win one game , the worst team In mlb can beat the best in one game 2 out of 3 is tougher

I like your idea I just think it's still two few teams. Need to create new fans. Should be 14 but preferably 16 with your idea (3 game first round). Just creates better ratings imo.

It doesn't create better ratings when the regular season becomes that much more devalued.

Where would he play?
It's already been devalued. You either want to stay on top or comepte with Nascar and Boxing. Ask them what not changing means.

Boxing DID change. NASCAR is always gonna be a niche sport. Baseball is regional and that’s not a bad place to be, especially when some of those cities are hardcore baseball spots.

Detroit's not gonna spend big on anyone. People nationally will finally begin to realize what a cheapskate Chris Illitch is.
It should also be noted that AJ Hinch apparently has an opt-out clause after the 2022 season. Certainly wouldn't be surprised to see him leave this tire fire in Detroit if they don't spend this offseason.

The team overachieved because Hinch is a miracle worker. That roster was dogshyt and the farm system is really shallow after Torkelson and Greene. They still need a lot of pieces.
