My Pops Forever RIP
It's probably over for him.
About to be 33. It will be hard to see him perform at an elite level for a full season again. He's drifting towards a back of the rotation guy.
He's 6'6'' 120 pounds.

They didn't even need an MRI with him. Someone looked at his ribcage and was like :picard:

49ers..Braves..Celtics
Pitch counts always been overrated. Randy Johnson could go out there and throw 140 pitches or something.. it's more when rest is interrupted.

Dave Roberts throwing guys out there on short rest day after day for the playoffs.. that's the stuff that wears a pitcher down. They are more prone to injury without full rest.

On full rest with full recovery time a pitcher should be able to go deeper into the game than they are often let...

Twins need to get Manea or Montas from the A's before it's too late. Get Andrus too for SS this season then Royce Lewis and Austin Martin should be ready.

Reload, not rebuild :wow:

Also, another reminder that pitch counts or innings counts don't really do anything to prolong or save a player's career.
Chris Sale's career high innings pitched in a season is 226.

Granted, people have written about the funkyness of Sale's mechanics over the years. But there are plenty of examples of guys getting hurt repeatedly over the years who rarely or never surpass 110-120 pitches in an outing or are limited to around 200 innings a year.

dudes a pos anyways no tears are shed

T.O.
dont blame them
I'm fine with a 1B - Vlad, 2B - Cavan, SS - Bichette, 3B - Chapman, DH - Hernandez, CF - Springer, - LF - Gurriel, RF - Grichuk And jansen and kirk at catcher

Sounds like the Ramirez-CLE thing is close to happening...as long as we dont give up Moreno/Manoah....Kirk/Biggio will be gone in that deal if it happens.

Chris Sale is a good example of why the White Sox couldn’t bring Rodon back for another year. You can’t trust starting pitchers with injury histories that deep to be available in September and beyond. White Sox have to be thinking about who they can rely on for the postseason
