Cashman is trying to play the NY Media card, but he's obviously just trying to turn the fans against Judge. He and all other GMs/Teams almost never give numbers away like this.

Yankees fans know where I stand on a Judge extension, but if they don't sign him, it's all the Yankees' fault and everyone knows that. If anything, not even overpaying Judge to a fault (which I'd be very worried about) would be accepted by the fans since they've used Judge's looming extension as a way to justify not really doing shyt else to improve the team.
