I did it, cause I get to download whatever I want, full films, to just regular music stuff. And I work in a place with shiity cell and Wi-Fi service and I literally do nothing all day. So the offline playlist is a lifesaver for me.

That used to be true in the late 2000s/early 2010s. But nikkas are increasingly going to Soundcloud to build their base the past 3-4 years.

YouTube is used primarily to promote music videos of already established artists nowadays, not to start out from scratch.
