a more dignifying way to think is to say to yourself “who the fucck does he think he is?” If this was ur boss, u actually have the chance to not only instill fear in his heart but into the hearts of others who might have witnessed his antics and may be getting funny ideas of them disrespecting u as well.

They were a small minority in the Mississippi Delta back in the days and white folks had them shook. No excuses tho cause they grew up around niccas. I wondered I saw so many Chinese restaurants, some open and some closed down for good, when I visit down there.

What I see is a group taking advantage of their circumstances to elevate themselves from where they were and from other disadvantaged groups. They collectively made the decision to follow and create a narrative that they are separate from us and deserve different pieces of the pie. With other intricacies and a hundred years later, they now tell others how the pie shall be sliced.
Can I blame them? No. They took what was offered and ran with it. Should we do the same thing? Hell yes. We are too scattered and don't have an overarching narrative that governs our living and decisions.
