This reflects more poorly on the education system than it does in black people as a whole.

The only way you are taking African history in most of these schools is an AP elective late in high school.

Exactly.

So why are Black folks so caught up in a cliche of saying we come from kings and queens when they cant name 5?

Thats my whole point.

I say educate yourself about Black royalty before you spew a cliche that you cant even back.
But we don't. Those kings and queens are the ones who sent slaves across the world in the first place.

Well no. Saying an empty cliche has nothing to do with poor education. Saying empty cliches is a human thing but this specific cliche about 'coming from kings and queens" is something specifically applicable to Black only because its about Black history. Like I said previous, humans are always spewing empty cliches. The most popular one is "Money Is The Root Of All Evil" when thats not how it was specifically stated in The Bible. "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil" are 2 different things. Again, its a situation of humans being caught up in empty cliches.

Really? Who specifically??

My question to you would then become, is the bigger issue here people using empty cliches? Or a lack of knowledge of black American and African history?
Reworded: Would you rather people stop saying we came from kings and queens, or would you rather everyone be educated on it?

My post was addressing the education aspect

No ones teaches African history in American education school systems and you barley learn about them in college, how are African Americans who don't even know their own ancestry suppose to know about Africa? :what: Furthermore are Africans reaching out to educate African diaspora on African history? Are they preserving their own history and not letting outsiders tell their story? :sas1: Questions that need answers.....

Its both. Empty cliches and lack of African history.

People in general are so programmed that, a good portion of the time , they have no foundation on the common cliches they use, such as:

What doesnt kill you makes you stronger: Yeah tell that to the lady who had half of her body torn off during 9/11 and is still alive but extrememly disfifgured

or

You cant judge a book by its cover: O hell the fukk yes I can and we all do. Especially when we see someone homeless.

Like I said...Whenever I hear someone Black say that played out cliche I immiediatly ask them to name 5 African kings or Queens just to see if they are programmed or if their words have actual foundation and the end result is usually similiar to this....

Thats from someone who actually knows the god.

That "oh he's white cop out" thats so popular on this site when someone says something u dont agree with is played out and shows a great lack of intellegence as a rebuttle.

But since u are so sure of yourself and this comment u made...explain how anything I said makes me not Black?? Break it down, dont just say empty nonsense, elaborate your claim.

Dude...your whole style is wack.

This is your second response that has nothing to do with the topic. You sitting here looking like a fool playing guessing games with what my skin color is, when my face has been plastered all over this site proving that you have nothing of intellegence to offer to the conversation.

:camby:

Social media has allowed the nobodys to think they actually can just jump in a convo like they are someobodys while they are delusional to the fact that they are nobodys.

Also....I known Skilly since the 90's. OFFLINE sh*t. Not that online e thugging u doing right now....actual OFFLINE sh*t. Which makes u look like a nobody in both our eyes because there is no one who can vouche for you and your character offline from this site.

Since you have nothing to offer to the topic.....You can have the last word weirdo.
