How so?

Well for one, Obama becoming president became white people's ultimate trump card to use against black people who complain about any racism. They'll say "We have a black president" as if that signals that all racism has disappeared from this country which is complete bullshyt.

Another reason is that it caused black people to become complacent and be foolishly naive that things were finally changing I'm this country.
