the one rapper the previous generation could actually tolerate.....grown ups who didnt fukk with hip hop always had those exceptions like Whodini, Hammer and Heavy D.

Heavy was clean without being clean cut cooki cutter. His appeal died out when gangster rap took over.

Remember how he was supposed to do to Motown what Puff did with Bad Boy but Heavy just couldnt match up? I wonder if Heavy and Puff had any tension during that era? Andre sure enough did. :lolbron:

Nah, he came back after that with the Waterbed Hev album. We ate off that.
I moved on to the grimier Ny music and Westcoast gangsta rap when the Waterbed Hev album was out
:manny:

I'm glad I got to see Hev in concert when I was a shorty tho

I believe the concert was 1988

Even Obama had to pay his respects when the man died..a legend!

Heavy music and art was prominent in my childhood growing up.
it's like he released an album for every stage of my life. From my friends bro letting us dub the Big Time tape to when they did the bald head look for Peaceful Journey and the look catching on.
