They're not on the level Cole, Kendrick, and Drake were ten years ago. They're famous, but I'm talking that next level where they've crossed over and everyone's waiting for their next project.

Lil Baby definitely seemed like he was on his way towards reaching that level, but something happened that slowed down his momentum. The superstars get to that level and stay there.

I don't feel like the new era of pop stars are really stars like that either. People ignoring the radio, and there not being any central video show or home base to find new music made everyone sort of branch off. Being a pop star used to mean everybody knew your songs. Platinum and Multiplatinum was expected. Now it's new music just for their target audience, while the rest don't know shyt. Like they say K Pop is the largest growing music genre but I haven't heard one K Pop song in my life. I couldn't give a fukk about a lot of other genres and I don't have to hear them if I don't want to

How are you an industry plant if you are signed to the largest major record label in the world in collaboration with also being signed to their partner which is one of the hottest independent labels in the world? And she doesn’t hide any of it :dahell:

I thought the definition of a plant was fake organic growth. Or acting like you are at odds with your label etc.

The thing is that the majors try to push many artists, it only works with a few. The people it works with (interestingly, we rarely hear that about white artists), people will say shyt like this about

Breh, let's be real right now.

They turned the machine up too high, cause it was very apparent that them numbers weren't adding up in real life TDE tried to argue with people online for pointing out the obvious.

All it took was a Hot Ones interview and a corny Met Gala outfit to bring her back to reality.

I still don’t get it.

All because she got to perform at the Grammys? Or cause she beat out Ems worst album, Futures street shyt, and Com/Pete rock?

I’ve seen jazz artists beat Bieber for best new artist. I’ve seen indie rock bands perform and beat Kanye, Beyonce and Taylor etc for best album. Also, her performance was rated as the best one, so obviously they did the right thing.

There's nothing to get. Some people, when they don't like an artist, it's impossible for them to understand that someone else might
So it must be some kind of sinister industry conspiracy. As if one of the primary functions of the music industry isn't to break, develop, and promote artists

If she's talking about Gen Z, then Billie and Sabrina are already at that level. Maybe Olivia, but she's more alternative.

Keeping it hip hop, she's right in that no one from this generation has a name yet. The best music is being made by the legends and veterans.

Boy stop. :camby: theyre not even superstars. Just industry plants with family members already in the industry. Cut it out.

For starters:

QUESTION :

Where was this home venue.

Where she was a top draw?

i pose this to every artist that raps.

As i don't remember any of these artist. Ever having a geassroots footprint or draw. Where they show and prove.

She is a rnb culture thief chick masquerading as a rapper.

In that,....
Where is her grassroots enb home venue. Ala jill scott.
or even pink in the philly scene for starters.

Where and what college radio cyphas did she make a name at?

I pose this for all artists.

As i don't remember none of these artist and i definitely never seen them show and prove nowhere.

It’s the 21st century, they post music online for free, can’t do the Jill Scott-test on these new kids. Then they hopefully have a friend who knows someone who knows someone, perhaps you have connections with a manager who has connections to lower tier artists on say tde. Then you get to work with those Lower tier artists, you might even get to network with higher tier artists or execs on those artists label. And then you get signed, likely to a trash deal. She was working with TDE almost 5 years ago, and got signed just some months after that.

Just cause some people just heard her name last year doesn’t mean that she started working last year.

I don’t even listen to her, this is all from a quick google search.
