I'm not taking David Banner seriously, because at no point in time have superior music makers ever had ANYTHING taken away from them by lesser rappers. Plus, when Banner tried to smarten up his image... everyone had stopped caring.


FWIW, the "hustle" only works if you have music and work ethic to match....there are plenty of dudes who's careers never went anywhere cause their music sucked, or they were flat out lazy.

No. I’m saying people followed suit. Jay was really the first rapper to start declaring shyt a whole bunch of times to the point people believed it. He literally campaigned for RD for years. Difference with Jay is he had the talent and music to back his shyt up. And there was a lot of work and preparation behind the shyt he did. Even with him not writing.
