but i will say this. i dont think 2k's devs are lazy. i think they have different priorities .
The real reason they are doing crew no justice after it being in 2k10, which is almost 4 years from now. why would they not make it so its 5 vs 5 in different gyms. where you have the ability to customize certain things in the gym. and maybe even through in a legit league for it.
why would they not do this?
i have 2 reasons
#1. they have no competition so their hand isnt being forced to innovate. since thats the case they have to make money off a sports game. the easiest way to do that. is to take some features away one year. then put them back like they're brand new the next year. thats exactly what they have done with crew. thats not lazy on the devs. thats a decision coming from the ceo/producer. they will go this money saving route.
#2 and this is a big one. i think i know why they wont put extra time into MY player mode/ crew mode. its because the game is called NBA 2k14. not my player 2k14. its designed to advertise for the nba. its probably in their contract with the nba. that to make this game its supposed to advertise for the NBA. and if thats the case. thats why they CANT push a mode full of non real life hoopers. a gym with your own logo on it says you are not looking for a real nba gym to play in. less advertisement for the nba.
so all in all. they cant go all in on crew. UNLESS they had a competitor that went all in on their version of crew. that would push 2k to say the hell with it and try to top the comp
