He played great that first year and thought he could hold up on any injuries and do it again. First signature player to sign with us during free agency and was the leader for a short but great time. He just can't stay on the court because of his knees which are not insured. I agree we should have not used our amnesty on Billups to have a future shot of using it on Amare but :manny: He's coming off the books soon. Gotta ride with him :to:

Then he got hurt, people love acting like it was somehow Melo's fault, Amare fell off, it was injuries.
Yup.

D'Antoni took a guy with problematic knees and ran him into the ground.

His first year there D'Antoni played him 40mpg in December, excluding the 54 minutes followed by a 41 minute game at the end of November.

Why should he get flak? Amar'es work ethic is on some next level shyt, he can easily phone it in and collect pay checks but he's always working hard and trying to get back on the court to produce. I used to shyt on him for going to fashion shows and shyt like that until I realized that it's not his fault his knees are ticking time bombs :to:

I fukks with Amar'e though. I want him to have a great year this coming season.

AMARE WAS ACTUALLY BEASTIN AND KNICKS WERE BALLIN BEFORE MELO CAME ALONG...DUDE WAS BASICALLY LIKE A 27-9 FRANCHISE TYPE DUDE BEFORE THE TRADE.
