Would make traveling a much more fulfilling experience. Can't truly know the world just speaking one or two languages, imo.

I was thinking either Japanese/Korean, something Scandinavian, or maybe Slavic.

Any brehs have experience learning languages?

Japanese why? Japanese don't really live outside of Japan and maybe Brazil. Use to live in Japan and found that I rarely spoke Japanese outside of Japan.

Mandarin is the language you should be learning honestly.

English, Manadrin, French, and Japanese but I forget a lot cause nobody to talk to in Japanese outside of Japan.

I believe no matter how many Spanish words I learn, I'll never be able to have a conversation :francis:

Started learning a few years ago.
Been going to Mexico a few weeks every year.
Can ask and understand basic stuff. But weat gets me is the speed. And other places in the Caribbean they have different uses for several words and the way they pronounce is a little different. But if you understand "un poco Espanol" you are good.

And I do lot better with a few drinks In Me because I am not scared to engage. The locals love when you try to speak Spanish in Mexico. But some countries in South America get pissed when you butcher the language. Especially argentina, but fukk them cause they harbored Nazis after WW2 so I could give zero fukks as to what they think.

Nice! I just started picking up Hangul... I'm going to try and do that with Spanish as well. We'll see how far it is to manage tho

This this this! The language is already fluid and full of vowels and then that speed :francis: a full sentence sounds like 3 long ass words. And as far South America I only feel a need to see Colombia and Brazil.

I just don't plan on being in any situations where I would need to know Mandarin... but I can see myself getting a spot in Japan or doing work there.

China just seems like a boring and gross country :patrice: I've never seen a video in China and thought "Wow, I'd really want to go there" :heh:

I'd say I'm intermediate in Spanish. I even created a spanish learning site that I need to pick back up. I got sidetracked by going to get my MBA. I also lived in Spain for a bit. Spanish in Spain is different like British English is different to us. It was a dope experience tho.

Getting over that fear is the biggest key in my opinion. It's why adults have a harder time learning languages. We're too perceptive and scared of looking like idiots.

I'd recommend going abroad (if you can afford it) for anyone looking to learn another language. Being forced to speak it does wonders for you. The best way to learn another language is to date someone who mainly speaks that language. A slept on way to learn a language is to play a sport where everyone else speaks the language. Sports require you to react quickly so you don't have much time to worry about what you're saying. Also, it forces you to communicate. I was in Madrid hooping on the spaniards trying to yell at them to set picks and get rebounds. :mjlol: Good times.
