I thought this was gonna be about that Wynne chick, or whatever her name is. Saw she got an Alchemist co-sign recently, and various black rappers/producers have done the same. Granted she seems "fine" in the sense of knowing how to rap on a basic level and seeming cool but...we've seen this playbook over and over. They get carte blanche to walk into radio stations, get big features, show up "randomly" at awards shows, etc. And since so many rappers owe favors, they give these dudes (or ladies) the shot they need to garner attention. At which point we get a few wack, successful projects before they jump into acting. Or country music. Or whatever.
