He's only a year older than me, Falcons already dealing with enough inexperience on the office of side of the ball.

For me, I'd say the Falcons should holla at Byron Leftwich.

Well Raheem getting fired. Bring in a vet head coach

I strongly believe JD Betrand was drafted solely off the pure fact because he "Plays Hard"

Kicker issues. :francis:
We’ve had kicker issues since we went to NO last year. I can’t believe they went into the season with Koo clearly washed.

5 years into the Fontenot era and our depth is still trash at basically every position except safety and RB. Idk if it’ll ever happen at this point but eventually this franchise has to realize that winners are built up front.

Penix finally looked playable on the road which is a step forward but the injuries he’s had at school seemed to have spooked him. Still doesn’t want to create unless absolutely necessary.

The OL and receiver depth is gonna matter more than usual if we’re gonna succeed with him. If we can get those I think we got something but I don’t trust the GM

You summed it up perfectly.

Falcons came into this season with very little depth at key positions along the lines and at the skill positions. Ironically, Bertrand (who shouldn’t be on an active roster) is one of the few from last years draft class that actually played meaningful snaps last season. The fact we have to play him is an indictment of this front office and coaching staff

Unfortunately it won’t get better in the offseason. With the Pearce trade we only have a total of 4 draft picks and none in the first so we took a win now approach on a roster with a lot of holes

As for the Penix discussion, I’m trying to be patient before I really start critiquing him. He played decent today…still too many operational mistakes from him as QB whether it’s the intentional groundings or delays of game or just not being prepared for the snap. That shouldn’t still be happening mid way into his second year in the league.

The unfortunate reality is that we got at best the 4th best QB in last years draft (Daniels, Maye, Nix are all easily better) and I could make a case for Caleb too. It’s still early but he’s gotta pick up his play as well
