Fontenot has done a good job with this draft class but I think youll find few Falcons fans impressed by TF
‘21 draft class was all time bad but it looks like he may have been ok in that area in the ones we’ve had since.
Tbh I think the difference between him and TD may be the fact that TD was lucky enough to be able to draft a QB who touched down in the league as like a top 12 guy in his first year.

Problem with Terry is that he was a PRO personnel guy who had to learn the draft on the job. Our FA pickups have been some of the best in the league, you just can't build a whole team like that. He's like a platoon bat that mashes lefties but is mid vs righthanders. His progress has been exponential though, he just needs his own "Scott Pioli" to help him round things out
Gotta accept that they’re just a good defense now. That’s the main takeaway from this one. Run game was special and Penix did just enough although he’s had some wild swings.
May need to trade for a WR though if Mooney can’t stay on the field. Preferably a route running specialist that can beat man coverage.

Yes, this defense is sustainable. There is nobody playing completely out of their mind right now, just everybody is locked in. Deablo taking over as the MIKE and allowing Elliss to play more as the SAM has unlocked him as well. There was one play that had Elliss, Pearce, and Walker all overloaded on the left side
the DTs are wrecking the middle of the pocket and were responsible for 3 sacks today too. Just nasty

I really believe the majority of the issue was the play call not getting to Penix in time. He was constantly rushing to snap the ball and not having the time to read the defense.
