You need to have discipline to make use of the wealth of knowledge there is to be found on the Internet, it's far too easy to be distracted by all the entertainment. Back in the 90s when watching videos or even loading a website with a lot of pictures was a chore, I was able to learn a shyt load.
Majority of that information is useless to the average person
i'm regularly shocked at how much the average person does not know....myself included.

Seriously think about it. Your smartphone, the Internet has information and resources people thousands of years ago would have killed for...and what are we doing them?
It wasn't too long ago people thought the world was flat.....now in less than a second you google information about the Earth's size, weight and etc.
It's wild when you actually think about it
for instance.... tell someone how to get to your house................ used to be you could explain it from anywhere... streets... how many lights.. what direction to turn....... before that we knew spot of the sun, direction due north, etc etc
if the world lost electricity... i'm pretty sure we'd be fukked

Nah, common misconception they knew the world was round since the ancient Greeks. Most civilizations knew it and I think it's because they looked at the moon or the sun and other heavenly bodies and they were all circular and guessed that our world must be the same.
