Jimmy already feeling like he has that safety blanket slot receiver for thirds is already noticeably changing the offense. The trade already looking like a good idea. And if he starts doing that consistently til defenses roll toward him, it could leave Kittle open for some big plays.
I still think that having a good outside receiver and letting Pettis work in the slot where his shiftiness could be put to use would have been a good alternative, but so far the trade still looks good.
