I have never ever ever seen a best buy or target or game stop sale thread stickied.
But now a nerd steam sale is sticked
you need to lean back while i suck my own dikk....
Steam sales are huge.
Those threads simply don't need to be pinned. When you have 7 threads pinned, it actually devalues the point of pinning a thread.
And with all of this said, nobody's actually said why these threads being pinned is vital to this board. I specifically explained why the PC Thread holds more value than the console threads. And no, "it's how it was, and it's not fair" doesn't qualify as justification to me.
What don't you understand about this? It's not about some stanning some platform bullshyt. I already explained to you why I left the PC Thread there. Last time I checked the Arcadium is a tech forum... it's not just about gaming or some lame ass console war shyt. The PC Thread is useful for anybody who remotely knows what the fukk they're doing on a computer period. Should we have a poll to validate the number of people who use a PC everyday vs the number of people who have a PS4, Xbox One or Wii U?...
On top of that, there are threads consistently made every day for those respective consoles, they're always being discussed... they don't need to be pinned there and cluttering up the damn top of the board... and even with it is now, they're just 1 more click away. You want to keep those threads popping, how about you post PS4 related news that isn't thread worthy in them? Some people do that... but then you have
people who are attention whores who feel the need to make a new thread about any and everything they ssee pertaining to a system.
As far as locking/deleting threads... I rarely do that, but as you can see, now we're talking about you bytching over some trivial shyt rather than something game/tech related. How many of these threads do we need to have really?

What warrants or does not warrant pinning is your opinion and entirely subjective. You can play dubious if you wish, but the primary function of this particular forum does center around gaming, so yes, pinning both consoles official discussion threads makes perfectly logical sense to me, albeit I'm not as frequent a poster as most here in this section, it's typically the first thread I normally check when interested in updates, deals, or simply exchanging gamertags. Besides it making perfect sense, it's also a matter of convenience. I don't believe anyone will lose sleep over it in the long run, but whether or not you deem it essential again stems from your personal opinion, and that's perfectly fine.
Bk and Brook appointed you as mod, and I'm sure you'll do as good of a job as you possibly can, but tone down on the condescending retorts simply because someone disagrees with a specific course of action. Changing an aspect of the board, even one so simple as a sticky, will certainly warrant questioning if it comes out of the blue, and the matter is again, entirely subjective. Your reasoning to me is extremely weak, but if the admins do not object and enough members don't oppose, it will be worked around and forgotten about just the same.

This Sticky situation (pun intended) is really the first time I've really made any moderation changes to this board since I got the privileges... and I've had them for about a month now. Most didn't even know who was modding this board til now. That Essentials thread where everything is consolidated into 1 thread isn't anything new. I'm just reapplying it again.
I don't mind if anybody disagrees with my opinion, that's cool. I explained why it's the way it is, it's not really rocket science, and it's not really that cumbersome to click one more link or just sub to the threads that are in the consolidated thread. My reasoning is weak in your opinion, that's cool too.

Part of your reasoning for having the PC sticky was due to more posters liable to discuss their PC than gaming. Gaming (particularly Sony/MS) are easily discussed in mass abundance more than Androids and Iphones on this particular board and generate a fair amount of hits, if that's the route we're taking. That being the case, yes, the respective consoles being stickied makes perfect sense, but it's certainly not the end of the world that you beg to differ. Agree to disagree.
@GoldenGlove here's what to do. Merge the Xbox One and Ps4 thread together and sticky the thread up top.
