do you think that rapping conscious yet having no ownership of your shyt is more impressive than not rapping conscious yet having ownership?

that’s the difference between the south and east coast

the south has way more entrepreneurs and business owners

Exactly these cats don't get it..they just love the IMAGE of PRO BLACK instead of having real BLACK POWER

like we seen in Jprince (Black power) while Krs One was (Black Rhetoric)

I was so moved by Krs One self Destruction movement to I seen him on MTV thanking caucasian Ann Carli the VP of black music at Jive Records for greenlighting the Stop the violence project

As a 13 year old kid observing this I WAS DISGUSTED..
:hhh:

Cause I realise all this Black Power ideals was just ENTERTAINMENT

Actions speak louder than words...

I have more respect for a Jprince as opposed to a Krs One cause he actually empowered himself and others I. This Capitalist system...

Problack talk is cheap if it doesn't have results

We lost Rap Music to everyone else cause we as Black Folks were NOT BUSINESS MINDED...

No, being business minded (capitalist minded) over being conscious is exactly what cost us hip hop. Business minded means you chase the money by practically any means necessary including unilaterally selling off Black assets. Being conscious minded would at least serve as a buffer to keep imperialist cacs at bay.

Enough of this bullshyt.

1. Most conscious rap ain't popular because most social-political music in general ain't popular. Most people (all races) listen to music usually so they can have fun and enjoy life. That's why turn up music sells more records. Most conscious music ain't even good, it's often preachy, shyt produced, fake-smart, self-rightous, hypocritical bullshyt made by folks who think they shyt dont stank. Just because u talk about politics and social issues don't make you smart nor does it make yo music good, any retard can do that shyt. Even the worst, most c00n ass rappers sometimes make conscious shyt, its not hard. People don't need some fake smart artist to tell them what 2 think when they can think 4 themselves.

2. Most conscious rappers (past and present) are sign to major labels. ATCQ, De La, K-dot, J.Cole, Public Enemy, Mos Def, The Roots etc. The idea that conscious rap is being "suppressed" and that mainstream rap is a part of some plot to destroy the black community is a bullshyt conspiracy theory like the Illuminati. Music has no impact on a person's character nor intelligence and that shyt been proven by science hundreds of times. And don't gimme that bullshyt about conscious lyrics being censored. Mainstream rap is filled with anti-white lines, go on RapGenius and see for yourself.
The Mozart Effect myth: research finds music doesn't make you smarter

3. Even in the 80's and 90's, conscious rappers were a minority. There was NEVER a time when conscious rappers were the most popular or influential. Public Enemy was the ONLY political rap group sellin multi-platinum albums. nikkas like Heavy D, Hammer, and Will Smith were the most successful at the time. So don't gimme that nostalgia bullshyt. And despite what most of yall nikkas think, conscious rappers actually have a SLIGHTLY higher percentage of cac fans than mainstream rappers do.

4. There is no evidence that cacs buy the most rap music. All data shows that its a PC myth thats been disproven several times.

Hip-Hop, Consumers and Retail | Radio & Television Business Report

Black people make up 40% of ALL rap sales (almost double the cac rate according to data) despite being only 13% of America's population. This means cacs r underrepresented while black folk r overrepresented. Yall nikkas need 2 get out of your little bubble and realize that most white folk don't listen to ANY kind of rap at all, only a minority do. Out of all 4 main races of this country cacs r actually the LEAST likely to be a fan of any rap. The only type of rappers that have an over 50% white fanbase is white themselves. Most people are naturally more interested in artist and entertainers of their own race than others (regardless of content) and cacs r the majority (over 65%) of America, so the success of Eminem, Vanilla Ice, G-Easy, Iggy and the others is expected. This shyt aint no damn conspiracy or mystery. Even as a kid I knew that the myth that white folks buy most rap was bullshyt. The idea that a genre where most of the artist are one group (over 80% of american rappers r black males) is mostly bought by another is pure bullshyt. If I said that most Country fans r Latino, people would say Im retarded because that is a retarded claim. Yet people really believe in the nonsense about whites buying the most rap.

So no, cacs don't have rap music at all, they dont have r&b, reggae, or gospel either. The only genre of music whites really stole from us is rock, and that's because rock fell off after 50s and the British made it popular again with non-black folk in the early 60s while the black community moved on to Motown. Jazz and Blues haven't been relevant since the 40s and nobody listens to ragtime shyt no more.
Look at this cac spreading lies as usual.
If whites don't control rap then who does? Name a major music company owned by a black person.

that’s the difference between the south and east coast

the south has way more entrepreneurs and business owners

This is an entirely different discussion, but let’s go:

First off, there have been dozens of “Master P’s” in the music business, ever heard of Lou Pearlman? Master P changed hip hop but the entire music business is running off of pearlman’s blueprint right now.

And P was no Berry Gordy - Motown was a stand alone record label up until the 90’s, No Limit was ALWAYS an indie major, Master P has ALWAYS had a boss.

And ownership is great. It’s wonderful. But i’d rather be known for singing “what’s going on” than brag that I own mr serv on’s masters...ijs :manny:

I just heard a ballout(who?) song where he said he had 30 shots for a broke ******. The hard R was a part of the rhyme scheme :snoop:

I heard a song on the radio by 50 cent where he said he had a banana clip for a black boy :gucci:....no radio edit or anything....50 was biting the Klan tough with that shyt

Funny how rare it is for the hooks of these songs to be about violence towards white people.

Nope but they can say shoot a nikka rob a nikka nikka nikka nikka.

How about slap a Cracker, Jack a cracker crush a cracker type shyt? Why we don’t hear that?

MSM will catch on and condemn it nationwide. :mjpls: Especially Faux news.

But a rapper can talk about murdering nikkas by the bucketload.

shyt is so demonic.

Or when clowns like waka can mumble chants of killing black men while slobbing on Mexican cartel members and advocating for animal rights.

What are your thoughts on the psychological warfare tactic known as "media propaganda", the use of mainstream entertainment to manipulate the image and reputation of entire groups of people in the eyes of the masses?

Surely you don't think media propaganda is a "bullshyt conspiracy theory" when its a HISTORIC FACT that the use of entertainment (plays, poems, minstrel shows, magazines, music, movies, etc) has been used throughout history to demonize/criminalize the image of black people:

Basically this

A lot of these signed black artists are well aware of this and they sell out just for a dollar.

Cacs love turn up music. White people between the ages of 12-30 are some of the biggest consumers of ratchet rap music. And these black artists are giving them just that.

Mainstream Rap music is no longer apart of black culture.
The irony is that a lot of them do this and still wind up broke, and that's because labels will always find a way to make their money back.

I'll never forget a CaC lawyer who i wanted to negotiate contracts for me and SunGod, (Ghostface Killah's son) advised us to make music like the chicago kids.

I dropped him right there. These cacs only want ignant shyt.

I watched that white dude that hosts VICE say how much he loved chief keef's music:

Yup.

I've been said this.

Even NWA talked about police brutality and racism on nikkaz4Life

Ice Cube, Ice T, Geto Boys, etc. . . .talked about racism and White supremacy constantly, even sprinkled in the talk about guns, bytches, and drugs.

But now, there's almost ZERO talk about that shyt with the exception of Kendrick, J. Cole, and a few dudes like that
and kendrick doesnt even go in,he tap dances to get props but he'll never go in like they used to

Saigon went in like they used to and Hip Hop ignored it.

He even did it over Just Blaze beats and hip hop ignored it.

This was the last straw for hip hop....A dude rapping like old Cube over Just Blaze beats and it went under the radar.
