We mostly agree that offense has evolved in the NBA. How come it hasn't in college basketball?

- There's something like 370 D1 teams with 13 (maybe 14 now?) scholarship players, compared to 30 NBA teams
- Coaching isn't as advanced
- Floor is less spaced b/c 3 point shot isn't as deep as NBA
- Only X amount of time players can practice per week per NCAA rules, NBA players have no such restrictions

MSU is a top 5 defensive team in the country, and MSU has ALWAYS struggled with alarming scoring droughts...even our better teams.

College coaching is absolutely horrible today

And many of them refuse to adapt and add some pro concepts to their offense

because the NCAA doesn't allow palming, carrying, pushing off, and 4-6 steps on the way to the basket. When you attend a high school game nowadays, you will see more travels called in ONE game of high school ball than an entire month of NBA basketball combined. Rules are enforced, simple as that. And they also play a real zone in college basketball. The NBA has a modified version of zone, but a center can't just sit under the basket as in college.

We beat that team last night that @Silkk been hyping up all his life. Easy work. If we get in the tourney i can see us making a similar run like the football team.

The personnel. Truthfully the nba doesn't have the talent for most teams to be playing the style they do but that's the arms race.
