Hands down One Mic. Never heard no **** like that in my life. ever. the way the beat just changes and fits his mood throughout the song. chill and relaxed then maaaad amped...then relaxed again. AND THAT VIDEO. The Last Verse?! Everyone spittin it??....If you've seen Nas Live you know what Im talking about. How Amped the crowd gets before the beat switches up?!? Come on ya'll. dont get me wrong. Ether 2nd childhood. You're the Man (aka Durr's The Man. my own personal remix) among others are amazing. But One Mic just brought the album into a whole different realm when you bought it and first heard it.

A top 3 Nas song ever for me.

I bought Stillmatic the morning it dropped at Beatstreet in Brooklyn. I must have played that song 100 times...shyt I heard that beat in my sleep that night.

But whenever this argument comes up, I can't help but put an asterist next to "Rewind" that shyt was pure musical and creative genius.

Those are my top two.

I gotta throw D&R in there though.

Mega is my man and all, but Nas completely spazed out on that with no fear.

He just went completely reckless on that one with a heart to heart.

Him going at Jay with Ether was business...but that D&R was family tough love talk. While everyone understood the Nas, Jay situation or heard of it atleast...to understand the Mega, Prodigy and nature situation you just had to be a fan from day 1 to where he was coming from.
