It ridiculous. I stopped doing street nikka shyt at 19. Since then I've been a square. It has kept me alive, mostly out of trouble, and living in a upper middle class lifestyle.

This 1000%. You are who you surround yourself with. I lived in rougher areas for a time and I never got involved in gun/gang violence. Now I did have friends who were involved in that life but I chose when to hang with them and when to stay in the house. As long as you know where to be, it really is a non-issue.
