I agree with the title but I hope this isn’t the first time you thought they need to do some for BM…

And the same question can be applied to women
Stop looking for black men to save you
Build yourself up

Growing up in overprotective single mother households

With the same passions and goals as them

Why would this get you heated? That being said there are plenty of things for black men. Out here in NY we have black make institutes offered by CUNY and other private colleges that help them get educated and careers.

Robert smith (wealthiest black man in America) has programs that get black men in venture capital (which is huge)

Because if anything nikkas are the most at risk between women and men right now
In this case, as I explained in the OP,I thought about it and in this particular instance this program should be Black women only

I rarely hear about shyt focusing on Black men nowadays

Just because you don’t hear it doesn’t mean they don’t exist. There are black men programs in Politics, Business (Executive leadership council), Tech, etc. I don’t understand the animosity

I was listening to NPR yesterday and got heated
Like why the fukk she ain't helping Black Men buy houses too?

Then I thought about when I was going through a program in Detroit to get Black people into union jobs

And a Black women got harassed
And had to check myself, because this is physical labor shyt, and if it weren't focused on women, I'm sure it would be mostly Men
So this is probably encouraging more women to take part
Because they feel like they can actually do it

But in general I think Black Men get forgotten about in this era of Black Girl magic
And we're lagging behind

If I ever get the opportunity I'll do something
Maybe in IT but I need to put myself on first

I agree. Over the years, I managed to get programs that teach Black boys the basics of sales, coding, media, mathematics supplentary, in part with help from the Urban League and local organization by me called HANDS. Black boys are out here sinking. It's not about taking away from Black girls but there is virtually no more programs for Boys to keep them out of trouble. We also need to work on employment training initiative to help give young Black boys legal ways to put money in their pockets because there aren't enough municipal jobs to go around in most low income areas.

I meant, why is she EXCLUDING Black men from her program?
And then I thought about it and I said it was a good idea

All that was implied when I stated that I had been part of a mix gender program and a woman got harassed

And then sequentially after that, I stated that Black Men needed more programs as well

There are plenty of programs aimed specifically at blk men. In fact, while Kim Kardashian gets credit as the face of helping blk men get released from prison, that initiative was started by blk female lawyers.

The only reason why you are seeing more initiatives related specifically to black women is because blk female issues have largely been ignored in past years.
