for the record, most of the mods were voted in when we opened the board. so if people are saying they're not doing a job then that effectively says that the voting process doesn't work.

I neither play favorites nor was campaigning to be a mod In here....and I'm far from notorious lmao I appreciate the compliment tho?

@cook told me once mods should rarely stand out (which is ironic seeing some of the ones we have here) I applied that to my whole coli existence now my time here is a lot more enjoyable. Stay out the way, friend

my point was that modding is similar to being a ref, in a well reffed game you don't even notice the refs.

it doesn't completely apply here because you have to separate a mod's personal posting from their modding. so say if you don't notice a ref on the field, it doesn't mean he's a bad ref if he's obnoxious and stands out off the field.

modding is an art form and it takes awhile to get good at it. i can think of numerous problems we've had with new mods. not sure we'd want to go through that all the time
