Silicon valley was a special case that took time to be what it is. Creating another one puts you in direct competition with the already established entity.

Unless you have brothas with investors on the ready and truly innovative ideas, there won't be a replacement, much less a good alternative.

Silicon Valley is a machine at this point. Hard to outdo what is already there, if that is the goal. You can make moves without emulating that.

Until we have parents that can give our children $ millions to start a business in a "garage", ain't shyt going to change.
Yea, brothas gotta stop and analyze what they are dealing with. Silicon Valley took decades to become what it is, and there is old money
running all through there. You can't compete with establishment like that no matter how much pride you have.

He can, however, solicit black millionaires and go to events that host them. Silicon Valley holds TONS of powerful, world changing companies,
shyt far more important than a dime-a-dozen app, unless it does something radically different from all others. I don't think enough brothers
understand economic forces and why you can't conjure up support for something that can be done by a half dozen Indian coders on the cheap.
Apps are fairly easy to start and self-market, and if it is good, it gains a bit of traction on its own merit. If not, millions of trash apps before are a lesson.

Unfortunately, something like this would take decades to produce. I would love for this to happen in my lifetime though and will take the necessary steps to allow our future brothas and sisters to prosper together in this cold world.

Am i my brothers keeper? Yes i am

Not because you're older doesn't mean you have to lose that inner rage. Just continue to educate the next generation. You teach them, and they will teach you.

We need our own shyt.

We need to start teaching our kids how to code and be programmers and stop glorifying these c00ns like BEYONCE and jayz.

We should start that shyt right here in dc :smugdraper:

Some poor people are weird. Instead of wishing the best for their child, they want to burden that child with some of their failures. In the media, you never hear people of a certain class say, "I'm going to buy my parents a house." Like I'm poor, but I have never felt compelled to take on debt for my parents sake. If your parents are such at a disadvantage, why don't all of you guys just bunk together?

U a fronting as nurse, that had nothing to do with what he posted. It was about young blacks talking about silicon valley, financing, and being the best of the best and how discrimination plays a part vs other minorities. :camby:
