I never understood this phenomenon...gold and silver is only worth money in a civilized country...if the usa collapsed and subsequently most of the other major economies in the world collapse, its worthless.

Reminds me of them nikkas that goto the club with an iced out platinum or gold chain, but caught the bus there and cant afford to buy a drink because they spent all their money on this shiny piece of metal.

The us will probably collapse one day or merge into a larger federation...but unless something radical happens; when we fall the rest of the world will come with us in this current state...we own all the pieces on the board, and because of that other countries continue to buy into our bullshyt and practices.

It's not at all, for retirees and expatriated Americans mexico makes a lot of sense.

You could probably go back to Mexico, teach English for a living and clear a salary that would have you living much better down there as opposed to here.

For real, I did that (not in Mexico) saved up to live on my own and help pay for my master's.

Feds probably on my ass anyway, might as well add hella stamps. America is not it for me right now, especially with all the bullshyt going on at the moment, I'm bout to leave again and just make more money and come back when I got enough to finally just live out in the woods or something for the rest of my life.

I don't think America will fall any time soon but the shyt going on right now is frightening. It's so easy to volunteer and end up with the right agencies and have them pay you to go to a foreign country and get paid to teach English. It's just not common knowledge. You have to find to for yourself and get in with the right people.

i never understood people that think if the shyt really hits the fan, and the dollar is worthless, that they are fine and dandy with gold and silver. if it is worth something, then people will kill you for it.

America won't "fall" in your lifetime. If it was going to happen it would have happened 40 years ago. The country was coming off the depression and the World Wars and being slammed by Civil Rights, and managed to keep the sheeple coddled through that....

If anything I expect the next Pres. to print MORE money, raise the debt MORE, increase inflation, etc.

Long as we use funny money in this country they can control it and ensure it will never fall....

I know a dude that lives in T.J. in a sick crib and commuts across the boarder everyday to work. He pays $550 for a 5 bedroom house. Spanish I hear is the easiest language to learn too.
