32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Matthew 6:14-15​

14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins

13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

3 So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.

If God expects something in return for forgiveness, isn't that proof that forgiveness is not owed? That people need to do something to earn forgiveness?

Yea, we owe it to God is what I meant, and to people as the second greatest commandment is “Love your neighboor as you love your self”.

i went to JBO once.. what i saw still keeps me up at night

but seriously i do agree. i had a lot of traumas my first 25 years on earth and that shyt stays with you forever. you can let go or learn to live with some of it but you'll never be whole again
