Eminem was on drugs, Wayne was on drugs and on. We can take it back to the 60-70s, that was another level of jukieness.
A lot of rappers have issues and we talk about them.
It doesn't even have to be drugs, it can be other mental problems that fukks with your motivation and brain

So even among junkies, he got a pass

WE'RE NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT DRUGS
WE'RE TALKING ABOUT CRACK

Nobody talks about it, because as an X fan, it’s painful to have watched...
He didn’t “fall off” just because he stopped making good music, he fell off because drugs have been killing him for 20+ years...

If X died after his second album, people would be talking about him like Pac and BIG

I've never seen anyone have And Then There Was X over Flesh. Really good album but clearly a step down, imo.
Me neither, nikkas act like their Wacky opinions are some historical common knowledge fact. But i remember how my employees used to walk around banging that album at work in late 98'.
But IMO the first 3 delivered in classic fashion.

Yea we're going that far.
Swizz a legend and grease isn't anywhere near one

Swizz is not even a top 20 producer all time.

Not saying Dame Grease is but as far as hard hitting beats goes, its got more umf these days than loops old samples....

I’m far from a Wayne fan. You’ll be hard pressed to find many posts from me in the booth either positive or negative about him. That being said he had a few years in that Carter 1 and 2 era (and those first few Dedication era mixtapes) where he was a legitimately dope rhymer with a pretty effortless flow and some slick wordplay.

Carter 3 he still had skills and wasn’t as dope an emcee as before, but even Carter 3 in hindsight is a pretty decent album hip-hop wise considering it was basically sold as a pop album. It’s one of the last albums that had singles with 3 verses and basically no hook (A Milli) where you could find white girls that weren’t hip hop fans rhyming the entire song.

Bro did a rap album that legitimately crossed over. But yeah I never got down with any Wayne music post 2007/2008
This is more or less how I feel about Wayne.
My biggest gripe is that even his best shyt, wasn’t that great to me.
