Im sorry but until the home base of us AAs is stable to where most of my people can grow up and function I wont be able to travel much.

I see what you're saying but, you have to realize Black americans come from a different set of circumstances then others in this country. We just really got freedom when you think about it. NOW, is the time most of us can really say we have freedom, our people in the past couldn't really say this. That group is just playing with being one of the first in their family tree to be able to do this stuff. If certain people take it too far, that's on them but, its still good to praise your accomplishments, in a playful way. It keeps you aware but, grounded.

Being childish in enjoyment is what keeps you young, and growing!

This is exactly how it's coming off...I'm not seeing the empowering the young, trapped by circumstances blacks that y'all keep talking about, I look at that site and travel noire and see the exact blacks I'm around all the time - well educated, decent income who like to boost their status and make sure those "other blacks" don't think this party is for them.

Paying $187 for a flight is success? With that said, how often we talk sh*t about our own, let's for a group of young positive black people using their brains and financial means to see the world Let's build, not destroy. For some of those people who ended up in Abu Dhabi, I'm sure there's people who told them they'd never leave their hood.

They didn't write the article, the screening is just to weed out the ignorant and the negative thinking people like some people in here.. Everytime someone posts about a trip they want to take, there is 2-3 people that come in quick to point out some negative stereotype or rumor they heard about the culture of that country. There is always the "I have everything I need in America" and don't want or need to fly to the other side of the world types coming in to point out how overrated these places are..and they post all through the thread repeating their point.. The screening process is to try to weed out those that aren't about this travel life..

Its just a group of like minded people that are trying to network and travel, why people always hating?

not to keep defending them, but the main reason people start these types of groups is to make new friends that like to travel as much as they do.. Your friends don't always want to go where you want to go, when you want to go.. I cant tell you how many times I have tried to travel with my friends and they flaked, groups like this are for those types of people. this has nothing to do with being uppity or in an exclusive group..
