:ahh: That 2012 season was great for the A's, but its going to be a lot more tougher now. :birdman: Bobby Melvin and management better call up Jemile Weeks. :to: I still have high hopes for him. Coco Crisp & Reddikk have been a great, both played out of their minds down the stretch and in the playoffs, we need them to play like that this season. Angels got all the star power and got heavy hitters on deck. Rangers should still be good. But, I really liked our pitching rotation last season, and hopefully they can keep it up. But, I'm still :beli: at fat fukk Colon though. But, we even got better even without him, so its whatever. The divisional race in the AL West is going to be a close one for sure, but, we are the Oakland Smoking A's, :smugdraper: we are ready for anything. :win:

i'm confident that the pitching and bullpen will be elite but our hitters need to stop striking out and be patient. if they improve that by a little then they'll at worst take the wild card.

:obama: Finally Jemile Weeks is getting some time to play. :beli: Redikk once again leaving runners on base again every time the A's are in position to score. And :wtf: Chris Young is terrible out there.

I'm liking the depth this year with the offense, and rotation. Hopefully the bullpen wasn't a fluke last year. Melvin is gonna be full mad scientist mode this season

Spring training is here. :blessed:

What happened with Young?

i know better D was needed @ SS, but giving up Carter was risky. im not convinced at all that Moss is a full time player. Yoenis has superstar potential, we really need him to stay healthy

but the ro is deep, and hopefully we can get some similar years out of guys like Doolittle out of the pen. Cook could be a little more consistent, want him to challange Balfour for closer in the near future

What happened with Young?

:pachaha: In that Brewers game, he was striking out and missing the ball really late and badly. It would be a strike, but he would swing like a second later, and have you like :wtf: But, he has done a nice job against the Angles though so far in, got an RBI and a run already. :obama: Not bad.

:beli: Derek Norris has to be the most frustrating player on this team. He has some nice power, but he is so impatient, its not even funny! :mindblown: He literally hits every ball that comes at him, doesn't care about the pitch count or any strategy. If he gets a hit, its usually a good hit and long one, but he strikes off way too often or pops the ball up too often. Does he not listen to Bobby Melvin or the hitting coach at all? He is a a pretty good catcher though, I was initially pissed that they traded Suzuki, but since he got that walk off HR versus the Giants for the win, I haven't really been mad much. But, he practically now is our only primary big hitter now though. Redikk can get HR's and was great, but his defense is more valuable than his offense imo. Yoenis is good, he has some very nice potential.

Norris' D was part of the reason we lost in the postseason, i was frustrated he wasnt moved. big bat but no discipline and im sure he didnt magically get better as a backstop

Norris lets everything go through his legs, and im not impressed with his arm. Jaso doesnt play much defence either, but i like his bat a lot better.

That motherfukker Barton better not steal any at bats from Moss. I swear, that dude is like a fungus that never goes away.
