He could always go in the ring, but he didn't stand out as a character until he hit ECW. That was where he hit his peak, as the heel TV champ and tag champ with Sandman. That exact character would have been a nice addition to the Attitude Era roster in WWF.

Instead we got Flash Funk.

When he first signed w/ the E they gave him that dumb ass gimmick, but if you remember they repackaged him w/ his old name during the attitude era. By then 2Cold was hooked on crack, and obviously unreliable and unable to take advantage of the push. They ended up giving the slot they were going to give to him to Al Snow. He talks about this in one of his shoots, and takes full blame for his failed WWE career.

At any rate, 2Cold is one of the greatest wrestlers ever.

You're right, Flash Funk was pre-Attitude Era. Too bad he was in rough shape later on, I think he could have been a much bigger star during the Attitude Era. That ECW character would have been a great fit.

2 cold was that nikkka. i remember the first time i saw him do the tumbleweed

i was always amazed how a black man with a butterball shape could fly like that, he's was a rarity. shand douglas owe 2 cold sum "jobs" as well, i don't ever remember him putting 2 cold over when 2 cold made him look great everytime they wrestled.

ahahahhaha, i remember watching raw once when he was flash funk and they had him with that ridiculous weave in his hair. and there was a huge backstage fight and he was one of the wrestlers trying to break it up and his weave was literally hanging by a thread off his head while he was trying to break the fight up, i need to find that clip
