They did come up short, there's no denying that and there's no excuse for that, but the problem I have these absolutes (not accusing you here), is that ONE 3-pt shot was all that came between the Warriors and back-to-back titles. Now if Kyrie didn't make that shot, and the Warriors went down the other end and did, it changes the entire narrative of EVERYTHING, despite all the activity in between being the same. Which again, it's nauseating how some folk keep bringng up the injuries the Cavs had in the '15 Finals and using it to suggest the Warriors' title deserves an *; parlayed with the notion that the Warriors couldn't beat a healthy-Cavs squad, and yet not only NOT applying the same principle the year after, but having the nerve to claim that the Cavs were always the better team because they won when both teams were healthy.Oh, yeah, of course. But that's basketball. shyt happens. Warriors ain't show a drop of sympathy when LeBron damn near has to get upper and lower back surgery from Zeus himself for carrying his injury-depleted squad six sad ass games against them the year before.
And when shyt happens, you either have that reserve oomph or you hit the damn deck. The Warriors ain't show any oomph, man. That's a real bad loss. Dray showed up like a motherfukker. Steph? Sheeeeeeeit. Injury and all... he came up real short. So did Klay. Barnes, as per usual, was his stiff bum ass self. And the game was still there for the taking, that's how good the team was overall. But they blew a historic season.
I've mentioned this before, but if the Cavs went up 3-1 when both squads were at relatively full strength, and then had a suspension to a notable player, and two injuries to another notable player (+ a defensive piece), and the Warriors won the series off the back of that - all that asterisk talk would resurface.

.. Too cool to hate the other side now a days than to just appreciate greatness
