I mean it sucks they used that number two pick for basically nothing, but given how the rest of the time they seem to develop players into what they need and their ability to recruit the right pieces over the years...can't win them all I guess :yeshrug:Pretty sure the track record ever since they drafted Steph in both drafting, trading for and signing players is still mostly positive, as the 4 titles seem to indicate

Ironically it's the highest draft pick they had in decades that turned out to be totally useless
Steph greatness really let their FO off the hook. The bolded is a flat lie

They still deserve credit for building a system that maximizes Klay Steph Draymond and others. The joke about Draymond is he never would have been this on many other teams. For the misses they have had they hit where it mattered and that’s why they have 4 rings with 2 not anchored by durant

My Pops Forever RIP
I called LaMelo a bust before the draft, but after seeing him in the NBA there’s no doubt he would have been the perfect fit for the Warriors. 6”7 with handle and range? with the great shooter of all time? “That’s nasty” *Cleveland voice*

I wanna see how James Wiseman fairs in Detroit, where he has more time and room to grow as a basketball player.
Actually he doesn't have any of this there.

Poole doesn’t become Poole if Lamelo is there
This isn’t even true

Warriors guard rotation during the 2021 season

poole - played 51 games at 19mpg
Mychal mulder - played 60 games for 12mpg
Damion lee - played 57 at 19mpg
Brad wannamaker - played 39 games 16mpg
Kelly oubre (started and played the 2. Wiggins was the 3) - played 55 games at 30 mpg
Kent Bazemore (played some 2) - played 67 games at 20 mpg

The minutes were DEFINITELY there for Poole and LaMelo to get minutes. Kerr was playing fringe NBA players in the guard spots double digit minutes per game. Poole would not get in the way of LaMelo and vice versa
