People like who? It was already reported Haliburton is who Kerr wanted and he got over rode by Lacob it’s that simpleAint no "hindsight." People were telling y'all hard headed asses this BEFORE the draft.
He has to fight for PT alongside 2 other young bigs in Duren and Stewart and somehow fight them off (I know they said they'd start Wiseman though). And all three of them go straight to shyt if they luck up and draft Wembanyama this summer. How so?
like fr lolwe won a championship
for that alone it was the right move
nobody knows what happens if we draft melo instead
This isn’t even true
Warriors guard rotation during the 2021 season
poole - played 51 games at 19mpg
Mychal mulder - played 60 games for 12mpg
Damion lee - played 57 at 19mpg
Brad wannamaker - played 39 games 16mpg
Kelly oubre (started and played the 2. Wiggins was the 3) - played 55 games at 30 mpg
Kent Bazemore (played some 2) - played 67 games at 20 mpg
The minutes were DEFINITELY there for Poole and LaMelo to get minutes. Kerr was playing fringe NBA players in the guard spots double digit minutes per game. Poole would not get in the way of LaMelo and vice versa
yep. it was definitely doable. The "Poole wouldn't develop" talking point is pure copiumIt’s a goofy argument for real. Both those guys could’ve backed up Klay and Steph. Or, they could’ve moved Klay to SF, put Wiggins at backup and had Poole and Melo sharing minutes at SG.
Lamelo is better than PoolePoole doesn’t become Poole if Lamelo is there
Nah the Warriors just overrated the fukk outta wiseman and now they traded him for a bag of chips …if it wasn’t for Steph saving them again this is the kind of draft asset malpractice that gets a GM firedThis board overrates the fukk out of LaMelo.
Most of that Lottery turned out to be meh. Haliburton is the guy people should be talking about the Warriors drafting instead of Wiseman.
He doesn’t have to fight for minutes at all. Stewart is a bench player at this point and Pistons are pushing him to be full time PF not C. Pistons have been small as hell upfront all year with Bagley always being hurt. Wiseman will most likely get starter minutes rest of yearHe has to fight for PT alongside 2 other young bigs in Duren and Stewart and somehow fight them off (I know they said they'd start Wiseman though). And all three of them go straight to shyt if they luck up and draft Wembanyama this summer.
This is a misnomer…LaMelo is 6’7” he’s not some little man running around ..he can play alongside other guards because of his size and passing which is what he’s been doing his entire time in Charolette ..and to top it off …which is what I was saying from the jump …even if you can’t slot both of them in for major minutes you’d have a much better set of trade assets if Melo is on your team instead of Wiseman … getting a guy like OG or a guy like Siakim if available for example is infinitely easier with those two resources …it was a terrible fumble and terrible mismanagement of resources no need to still try to rationalize it in 2023 …they fukked up horrendously…Steph was just able to put deodorant over the stenchIt's fascinating, Poole both answers the question of whether a 3rd guard could've helped the original core win now and lessens the blow from the Wiseman disaster by providing a lot of what they missed passing on Melo.
He's a bust and it's spilt milk but at the end of the day their player development/culture turning Jordan into a contributor makes it a lot easier to swallow. There's no "Melo & Poole" scenario because Jordan wouldn't have gotten this opportunity in Golden State if they were both in the building.
Be an actual nba caliber playernikkas acting like Melo would have them going undefeated
What has Melo shown to warrant this?
They were title capable before this draft ..what does that have to do with this fumble?GSW has already won a title. They’re good
