Tried to tell @Ritzy Sharon they need a go-to guy closer and he told me only people who don't know anything basketball say that.

what does a go-to guy closer have to do with the fact the Nuggets are getting lit up defensively and our bigs have fallen off a cliff and are getting outhustled, outmuscled and outworked? we lost one close game and won the other, the other two have been blowouts.

and I never said you don't need a closer to win, I said the concept of a "superstar closer" is a lazy argument. closing games is about basketball IQ, preparation and confidence -- not about how many Kia commericals a player on your team stars in.

I don't think a superstar could have fix Denver's terrible perimeter defense. Denver is a run and gun team that can score at will, but the team is not a defensive team. They allow so many open shots, which is going to equate to little amount of defensive boards. Also, Coach Karl should have made some adjustment on defense to slow down Curry, but he didn't and it is hurting the team.
