Probably, but thats how i will always be. A lot of New Yorkers live in Jersey. So unless they were born in jersey or grew up during new Jersey's good years, they'd more likely be a Ranger fan.

Islanders fans are all on Long Island. And I mean Long Island Long Island. Not Brooklyn and Queens Long Island. Only exceptions are the people who became fans in the period between when the dynasty squad was on the rise and when Dale Hunter cheap shotted Pierre Turgeon. Or they wanted to be contrarian to spite all the Rangers fans.

Also Rangers fans invading Prudential (or Continental Airlines Arena before that) is nothing new. They've been doing it from day 1. Rangers fan base greatly outnumbers the combined Devils and Islanders fanbases and out of all the NYC area teams they're the most ride or die. Plenty of Rangers fans in North Jersey and multi-generation ones.

It's crazy to me that Arizona has an NHL team. That's a travesty. The Coyotes need to move to Quebec City and rebrand as the Nordiques.
