What an inept league. This should have been scheduled for ABC after the Celtics/Sixers game seven. That would have been a perfect lead-in.
They weren’t preempting American Idol and that Liz Taylor special for NHL or SNB. Neither game would get the audience and ad rates to justify doing that honestly. So unfortunately NHL had no choice, this is byproduct of not being on their networks for 17 years and being seen as a 2nd tier league. All on Bettman for being prideful and dumb post lockout.
I don't care what they needed to do, there is no excuse for the only NHL game of the day to be starting at 10PM ET on a Sunday. Whether it was on ABC, ESPN or TNT, that game should have been right after Boston/Philly.
The NHL is a second rate league because it is run like one.
